xx Passing Time \Open\
« Thread started on: Jul 13th, 2005, 11:51pm »

Ryven was figuring his way through Venice, his eyes looked tired and worn out from the wearing events pounding through his head. It had been a week since he had last slept, and a crazed smile was on his face. Looking like he was wide awake, he adjusted his gloved his hands up to adjust his tie that was cited neatly under his collar. Then lifting his left hand back he adjusted the top hat down over his head a little more, so that a shadow would cast over the front part of his face; mostly his eyes. Ryven would’ve started to hum a tune to himself, one he had heard in a restaurant. But he had his cover down and was watching gondolas passing through the canals.

There was some desire to want to board one of the gondolas, but he remained where he was. Closing his eyes he muttered something under his breath. " --- again, why did I come." There was absolutely no reason to be here. It was the simple pull of water, to stare at it. Or just to be by himself away from the pressure of real life calling to him. Bank issues, how typical.

On the rare occasions there was a soft and warm breeze she let her hair down and she'd slip on a light cottony dress.

Strolling down the Venetian streets, Rosette sighead heavily. Still no friends, and the damn city lost it's charm after about a two months.

Ryven was about to argue with himself out loud about the expense about just being here. Yet again, he let himself dwindled in his own desperation for some type of company. Ryven focused at the water until he heard a sigh, it was not too loud. Turning his head over to the sound of the noise, his face was directed into the girl’s front view -- though his eyes stayed concealed from the shadow dropping down from the brim of his top hat. He could be absolutely crazy and say something to the girl, yet he wondered if he’d even be noticed.

Sighing once more she leaned against the rail, looking down into the waters, smiling softly at one of the gondola director's or captains, or whatever they were, and then leaned lazily agains the rail, watching a few people walk by.

Her bright grey eyes scanned the man in the gloved hands, tie and the top hat, nodding softly, she gave him a soft smile, hoping not to come off overly-friendly. She wasn't a whore or a courtesan, so she had no need to try and sell herself to this man.

Ryven acknowledged that the girl had noticed his presence, but it felt something shift inside of him. Great paranoia, he hated to talk or speak first. But oh well, there it came as he lifted the tip of his hat to give a cross look, yet it was friendly. It was a natural blended expression. "Good evening -- " eyes shifting to the girl’s shoulders and then up to her face, "miss." Then Ryven turned back to staring at the water, if needed be, the girl would respond back.

Using the only Italian word she'd picked up since she'd been here, she glanced over at him and then leaned against the rail, shifting her weight from her left foot to her right. "Ciao." Italian sounded simply wrong with her heavy and obvious Irish accent.

Ryven had no knowledge of any language what so ever, he was English. So he just gave a long and bland stare as the girl said it. Then he gave a nervous smile, and looked back to the water while he turned a little from the girl. If they didn’t speak the same language, he wasn’t even going try. He’d go and find someone else to talk to. Venice was such a bore, and people started to make him feel weird.

"Sorry, I was just trying out the only word of Italian I know." She said softly and then glanced over at him and looked down into the water blankly.

"Rosette Caroile." She presented herself softly, wondering if he might give his name in return. People of Venice were strange and sometimes rude.

" Oh -- Quite all right, miss! Quite all right," Ryven had one of those habits that he repeated himself, it was a mental factor he had gotten from his father. And then his right hand rested neatly down to his side so that his eyes could turn to stare at the girl, when he shifted his weight. A broaden grin came to his face, his teeth white.. Indicating that he worried about hygiene and appearances more then the average person. Then his hand lifted to his hat and he removed it, posing the hat down near to his waist with his arm over his abdomen as he bowed. "Ryven Crow at your service," he tipped himself back up, and with his hand replaced the hat back on his head.

"I'm in no need of services, but I could enjoy some company." She said softly and then gave him a wide smile, watching him remove his hat.

"Ryven. That's amazing different." Rosette told him softly and then gave a soft giggle. "Where is it from?"

"Prefix cut off from the name ‘Raven’, my mother liked those odd birds," Ryven nodded his head a little, to show that he was enjoying himself. Though he pursed his time away from talk about himself -- ugh, he hated himself more then anyone could hate an entire being. Ryven gave a shallow look at the girl, but then it turned to a brightly cheery one. "I am honored to have been graced in a fine presence of a lady like yourself," it was true, he felt like he hadn’t seen a woman since he left -- well his mother, but that made him sick.

A slight blush rose in her fair cheeks and she bowed her head softly and then turned her grey eyes back towards him.

"Why thank you, ..." Wondering, his title she just gave another smile and settled with. "Sir."

"You are quite welcome," Ryven just grinned quietly to himself so that he could move the hat off from his head, holding it in his fingers at his side. Part of his hair had been over his right eye, but his left eye was at great focus with the girl. And he wasn’t close enough to see the blush. "And what are you doing out on a lovely evening such as this?"

"Oh, just wandering." She told him truthfully and then glanced down into the water. "What about you? You look as if you have somewhere important to go, what brings you to this bridge?" Rosette questioned. Damn her stupid mouth. She always new talking too much was a sure way to push someone away.

"Ah, I am just out in a bout trying to avoid some bank issues I have," Ryven stated with an awkward smile on his face as he got a little closer to the girl. He moved his arms up a little to lean his arms onto the railing, letting his wrists dangle lightly with his hat caught in-between his fingers lightly. It must have been his appearance, that he dressed too nicely then he should. One day, Ryven noted to try and wear normal clothing.
