.Place for Tea. (Dartan)

The walk was not so bad to the caffè. Of course walking upon the roads barefoot has gotten uncomfortable to Dante, so he stopped to the side to slip his footwear back upon his feet. A soft chuckle was given as he thought how comfortable the sands of Lido was compared to the roads. He called himself a fool for forgetting that.
Then both arrived to their destination after passing through the canale. Dante headed inside the caffè to find a place for him a Dartan to sit.

At the soft chuckle Dartan shifted his gaze in the other male's direction. "What's funny?" He arched an eyebrow, a smile playing on his full lips, lavender eyes sparking with ease.
Upon reaching a place to sit inside the cafe Dartan brushed his hand through his hair, attempting perhaps to straighten that windblown appearance.

A few black strands fell in front of Dante's face towards his eyes as he took a seat. He smiled and lifted a hand to brush them back behind his ear. His lips cureed into a smile when Dartan asked what had humored him.
"I have realized I have been walking barefoot upon the roads, but I did not take the time to notice that until the last minute." Dante replied. "So my feet is in pain a little."

Dartan watched clandestinly the movement of the Dante's hand to push away hair and then lighlty turned his lavender eyes to meet the other's.
"Mm, yes, the ground here is quite painful on feet." Humor filtered his voice, dancing in his words as his gaze brightened and his lips curled.

"It is..yes." he chuckled.
Dante's hands moved underneath the seat below him and held onto it as he pushed himself up closer to the table. After reaching a good spot, he moved his hands back to his lap and folded them between fingers.
"So how long have you resided in Venice, may I ask?" asked Dante.

Dartan smiled dimmly at the question, cursing it silently but remaining calm. "I have lived here my whole life." He responded nonchalantly, reaching a hand up to brush aside dark hair.
"And you Dante?" He questioned.

"I would say the same." replied Dante.
The voice he spoke was kind of cheerful, yet there was something amiss with it. He thought of telling his story, but he waited until that question was brought up.

Lavender eyes narrowed in brief consideration and then he nodded. But perhaps...just maybe his words were tainted and Dartan latched onto them with inquiry. "You sound as though you weren't expecting this? As if you weren't expecting to live here."

Dante realized that the sound within the words he have spoken was figured out very quickly. He sighed and raised his arms to where his elbows was upon the table and his fingers were intertwined with his chin resting upon them. His eyes were slightly narrowed as if tears were going to come down his cheeks.
"As an infant..no." he said. "My place of rest would of been underneath these waters if is wasn't for my mother, Caprice. The father wanted me dead and she did not want to see me die..hence my name 'Dante' which meant to her..'everlasting'. I never did catch a glimpse of my mother even after her death seven years past. The person who have cared for me then has given me 'Caprice' for a surname to keep the memory within my thoughts."
Dante realized he was rambling on and lowered his arms until they were crossed upon the table. "I apologize if I have bored you."

Dartan listened to the tale with concentrated commitment, his lavender gaze intent upon the man before him. "You have no need for apologies." He murmured slightly, considering.
"Your mother was very brave then." He commented, feeling a flash of bitterness towards his mother, but smiling faintly.

Dante's gaze looked down upon the table. "I have always had that thought of her." he said, his voice had a hint of sadness within its tone. It was a shame that was never able to see her. He stopped looking at the table at looked back up into Dartan's eyes, forcing a smile upon his lips.

He caught the saddness and considered it gently, mildly, his gaze locking on the other's with brief certainty. "Then it is a good thought. It is better to keep her alive with whatever good memories you have then to keep her dead with those sad ones." He murmured softly, a smile curving his lips.

Dante saw the smile Dartan had given him. His gaze did not look as if he was going to cry anymore.
"Mmm, yes..you are right." he said, tilting his head into a nod. There was not a hint a of sadness in his voice this time and the smile for real instead of forced.

Dartan nodded slightly, glad that the other smiled again. "It is better for her and for you." He murmured thinking absently for a moment before offering a slight shrug in response to his own words.

Dante was not sure whether to ask Dartan about his past since both of them just got aquiantanced not too long ago. Probably some other time under different circumstances. His gaze darted to the side to watch once of the servers heading closer to their table. Now was the time for a friendly drink or something of the matter.
