Healing [Sirchade]

Aurolus awoke to find himself on the couch. He sat up and stretched, yawning. The night before had plagued him with nightmares that he was all alone. He hated that feeling. He searched around. "Sirchade?" He was scared that the vampire must have left him during the night.

"What?" came the sharp and poisonous response to his name being called. Sirchade was sitting in a high backed chair, legs crossed casually as he read a book by the firelight, his body unseen by Aurolus' position. His leather riding boots were all that were seen.

He crawled over to the man and rest his head in his lap, like always. "Nothing...I am sorry...I just...thought you had left me...for good..." He swallowed softly and closed his eyes, taking Sirchade's hand. "You won't will you?" He glanced up at him, eyes thin and caring.

Sirchade sighed; he couldn't deny Aurolus a damn thing whenever he did this. He hated the small weakness for his Dark Brother. "No... I won't, though at times I'll be highly tempted to strangle the life from you..." he warned, which was normal. Most of his words to his brother were threats or insults; just ways to cover up the love he felt for his sibling.

He crawled into Sirchade's lap and straddled it with a smile. "Alright..." He leaned down to kiss the vampire's neck. Then he decided to just hold him, before he provoked him, unless he had already. He closed his eyes. He wanted to be with him, he always had, but he was to afraid of what Sirchade would do or say to a confession like that.

He raised an eyebrow, barely phased by Aurolus' always-tempting ways. Sirchade sighed, trying to return to his book, but the Vampire now on his lap blocked his fire light, and although he really didn't need it to read, he enjoyed the warmth that was now blocked from him. He didn't even flinch when Aurolus kissed his neck and he gazed up into his eyes.
There was only a small difference in color of their eyes, it was almost scary. They could probably be considered brethren from the same mother, save for the difference in hair.

He chuckled softly and put the book down, then put his hands on Aurolus' waist and leaned up to purr at him teasingly. "I'll always be beautiful, my dear Brother. The question is... Will you be as well?" He purred and sat back once more, folding his arms over his chest.

He sat back upon his lap and and nodded. "As will I...." Aurolus thought of how lovely his...love actually was. He wanted more and more all the time. "Keep the nightmares away...please?" he whispered. "They...frighten me...a useless emotion..."

He rolled his eyes, but to keep that face from forming a pout that he could never say 'no' to, he nodded. "Fine. I'll chase your nightmares away." He felt like he was speaking to a child, not his older brother! How embarrassed he felt when he and Aurolus were presented together. They were complete polar opposites of one another.

"I just....I don't want to feel so alone anymore...There is something...I must tell you soon...very soon...But not now..." He sighed and closed his eyes. He was not ready...maybe...he was being a coward? He was hardly pouting, but he just looked that way.

"Well, we are all subjected to solitude once in a while," he retorted. "Why did you let Elexi leave if you didn't want to be alone?" He looked at Aurolus, confused. And there it was!! That damn pout that made Sirchade yield to all of his requests. He felt a growl form in his throat.

Aurolus looked into his eyes. "Because he is the only man that has ever loved me for who I was....and was even able to look into my eyes, and I knew it was true...." He sighed and his face distorted into a heavier sadness. "While I admit, I did not want to....I had to...for Elexi..."

He sighed and rolled his eyes, then put his hands on Aurolus' shoulders. "You are a fool," he murmured into his ear. "if you think that Elexi was the only one who loves you..." He leaned back and looked into his eyes, then let him go and turned away to leave.

"Eh?!.....U-uhm...Sirchade? Don't go..." He blushed heavily, unable to avoid it. Aurolus was everything any normal vampire was not. He was not cold, or so he let on. He did not hate, or so they thought. He hated it. He wanted to be satisfactory for Sirchade, but trying to make himself sadistic was not going to work. He wanted this man to fall for him as he had done, but was too afraid to admit it. He did not need the pain of rejection. It would drive him mad. He stared at Sirchade then, with longing. It was so obvious in his eyes and in his aura, you could feel it. "But you...are not the same...."
